Health and Safety
We have been inspected by the local authorities and have been awarded a Certificate of Health & Safety.
We do ask that you watch for the safety of your child and that of others nearby at all times while at Playgroup, as Playgroup cannot be held responsible for the actions of your child.
Most children suffer with colds from time to time. However, if your child is unwell with a fever we would ask that you keep them at home until their health has improved.
Vaccination
There is no requirement for children to be vaccinated against infectious diseases before using Playgroup. However, those at risk are unvaccinated children, women of childbearing age who are not immune, or those in the process of being vaccinated.
Also in some European countries there has been an increase in outbreaks of measles so if you plan on traveling around Europe please be aware of this. If your child is infected or has been in contact with someone with an infectious disease please see separate sheet for guidelines.
If your child has recently been given the Polio vaccine, please wait for 2 weeks before coming to Playgroup. Polio is a live vaccine and during the first 2 weeks after vaccination it can be transmitted via baby poo to other children. As we all change our babies at some time or other at Playgroup it is safer to not come and risk cross-infection.
